Senior boys soccer team from GDHS snags EOSSAA crown, advances to OFSAA

Glengarry District High School's senior boys soccer team followed up its SD&G championship by winning the 'A' division at EOSSAA today. We will have all the details in next week's edition of The News, as the boys get ready to head to OFSAA.

La Citadelle girls soccer team to compete at OFSAA

One soccer team from our region will compete at OFSAA, as the girls from la Citadelle have qualified.

Earlier this week, the senior girls team travelled to Elgin for the EOSSAA tournament.

Les Patriotes won their first game 4-0 against Valour High School, tied their second 1-1 with Rideau District High School, and prevailed in the final 1-0 in sudden death overtime versus St. Michael Catholic High School

With the triumph, la Citadelle's girls scored EOSSAA gold to earn a spot in the OFSAA tournament, taking place June 7-9, in Chatham.

Holy Trinity cross-country runner qualifies for OFSAA

The Oct. 25 edition of The Glengarry News featured a photo of Holy Trinity's Nick Chaput who won the SD&G high school cross-country running title in the senior boys division. Following his result at EOSSAA, he's now an OFSAA-qualifier.

OFSAA track and field day three morning results

Two Tagwi athletes competed this morning at OFSAA track and field, in Belleville.

Annie Bender placed 12th overall in the junior girls high jump. Rylan Iwachniuk captured 9th in the midget boys discus.

This afternoon, Le Relais' Eric Cumberbatch will compete in the midget boys triple jump, and Char-Lan's Brennan Seguin will battle the province's best in the senior boys pole vault.
