Tonight is the season-opener for the Alexandria Ladies Ball Hockey League, which plays its games at the Glengarry Sports Palace.
This year there are six teams competing: McDonald Electric, Giant Tiger, Atlantic, Blue Bellas, Molson, and Howe's Farm Equipment.
The first four will be in action this evening, with games starting at 8 and 9 p.m.
League play continues Monday and Thursday nights through the end of July.

Playoff action in the Alexandria Ladies Ball Hockey League opened last night at the Glengarry Sports Palace. Game two of each of the three series is scheduled to hit the floor of the GSP, on Monday, July 30. Start times are 8, 9, and 10 p.m.

The Alexandria junior 'B' Glens are planning to host a July 29 ball hockey tournament at the Glengarry Sports Palace, in Alexandria. Teams are guaranteed three games, and funds raised will help support the community-owned CCHL2 club for the 2017-18 season.
