The Eastern Ontario Wild major bantam AAA hockey team, coached by Frank Hincks, is competing for the HEO league championship, facing off against the top-seeded Ottawa Jr. 67s.

The Wild prevailed in the previous playoff round, seven points to one, over the Upper Canada Cyclones. After tying the first game 1-1, the Wild went on to three straight wins: 5-1, 4-0, and 4-2.

The boys opened the finals on March 5 with a 1-1 tie.

Looking ahead, the squad is booked to play the 67s next on March 9 in Rockland, starting at 7:15pm. Game three will go in Ottawa the next day, at 7pm, followed by a fourth contest in Alexandria, on Sunday, March 12, at 1pm.

Aside from the coach, the squad includes a slew of county players, such as the goaltending tandem of Nicholas Heinzle and Joe Vrbetic. Others are defencemen Brendon Watson and John Richer, along with forwards Ethan Attridge and Innes Thomson.
