There's a Glengarry county connection to the EOJHL St. Lawrence Division final series this year, and it comes in the person of Anthony Pace. The Maxville native is a rookie member of the Casselman Vikings. He recorded 18 points during the regular season and one assist in the opening playoff round, where the Vikes dispatched the Char-Lan Rebels. Pace wears number 8.
The Vikings beat the Hawks in game one last night, 6-3, with the second contest set for tonight in Winchester. The full schedule is on our website at www.sportsintheglens.ca
In the EOJHL St. Lawrence Division semifinal series between the Alexandria Glens and the Winchester Hawks, more will be on the line than a berth in the division finals.
North Dundas mayor Eric Duncan accepted the challenge of North Glengarry deputy mayor Jamie MacDonald. Their wager? The loser will have to wear the team jersey of the winner for a full council meeting.

The series between the Glens and Hawks is scheduled to open Wednesday night in Alexandria. See the Feb. 18 edition of The Glengarry News for the full schedule and a playoff preview.
