County junior hockey teams both win tonight

Last Friday night, the county's junior B hockey teams collided in this season's opening round of the Battle of Glengarry. Be sure to check out our story in the Oct. 3 edition of The Glengarry News. A photo gallery of the action can be viewed here.
Through three weeks of the 2018-19 CCHL2 campaign, the Char-Lan Rebels have amongst the better records league-wide, at 8 points, tied with the Casselman Vikings for second place in the Martin Division and third overall.
The Alexandria Glens have just four points and sit in the middle of the pack, with a 0.400 record.
With a 5-4 victory in Alexandria last night, the Char-Lan Rebels CCHL2 hockey team extended its points streak (and extended its winning streak to three games in the process) to five games to open the season.
Can the boys keep it going? Find out tonight in Williamstown, where the Rebs will be hosting the Perth Blue Wings, beginning at 8 p.m.

This weekend marks the official start to the CCHL2 (junior 'B') hockey season, with the Alexandria Glens and Char-Lan Rebels slated to skate into the league's opening-weekend showcase, in Arnprior.
Today, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m., the Rebs will take on the host Packers, and at 5 p.m., the Glens will play against the Brockville Tikis.
Tomorrow, Char-Lan gets a 5 p.m. contest with the Renfrew Timberwolves, while Alexandria skates at 1:30 p.m. versus the Whitewater Kings.

There will be Monday night junior 'B' hockey at the Glengarry Sports Palace in Alexandria, where the CCHL2 Glens face a do-or-die situation, trailing their playoff series with the Ottawa Canadians three games to two.
The Glens needs to win tonight to force a game seven, which would be played Tuesday evening in Ottawa.
Last Friday, the boys scored a 2-1 victory in Alexandria, to tie the series. Saturday saw Ottawa edge the Glens 3-2 to take back the series lead.

The county's junior 'B' hockey teams, as well as those across the league, are facing the home stretch of their season, with just a handle of games remaining to be played.

The final round of this season's Battle of Glengarry is scheduled for tonight, Feb. 13, in Williamstown, where the Alexandria Glens and host Char-Lan Rebels will square off. After the Glens won the series opener, the Rebels have prevailed in the last two matches between the clubs. Set time is set for 8 p.m.

There's a double-bill of junior 'B' hockey action set for the county tonight, Nov. 11.
In Williamstown, the Char-Lan Rebels are booked to host the Embrun Panthers, starting at 8 p.m.
The Alexandria game, at the Glengarry Sports Palace, is a rescheduled contest from the opening weekend of the season. The game will start with a score of 3-0 on the board for the Glens, as the boys host the Brockville Tikis, at 8 p.m.
