richard Sep 3, 2015 - 8:12am

A 25-year-old North Glengarry man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday after the fuel tanker truck he was driving rolled over on Highway 417, spilling fuel and forcing the closure of the road for about four hours.
Charges are pending against the owner of the vehicle, says Ontario Provincial Police Sergeant Janice Sawbridge.
The Hawkesbury OPP detachment continues to investigate the accident that occurred at 1:06 p.m. as the truck was travelling westbound on the 417 near County Road 4 in East Hawkesbury. The tanker contained over 18,000 litres of fuel at the time.
The Ministry of the Environment was consulted and the clean-up is continuing.
Charges are pending under the Dangerous Goods Transportation Act.
