Be sure to check out this week's edition of The Glengarry News for a story about the Glengarry Gaels tyke football team which, with a win last Sunday, is now 4-0 in spring league action.
Glengarry's bantams are also undefeated this season, following a 52-20 triumph on Sunday, in Cornwall. Austin Main paced the offence with a trio of touchdowns, while Nathan Sauve added two majors as part of the Gaels' scoring. Coach Jeff Dorn says the defence played as one, forcing three turnovers in the contest.
Meanwhile, the peewees remained winless, falling last Sunday 50-6, in Cornwall. On May 31, the peewee Gaels dropped a 40-6 decision, with Jack Marion scoring the lone TD, late in the contest.
Travis Brisebois accounted for all the Glengarry scoring for the mosquito Gaels, with a pair of touchdowns, as Glengarry was felled 45-12.
In midweek play last Wednesday, the mosquito Gaels lost 49-26. Brisebois had all four majors for the Glengarry side; Connor McDougall recorded a two-point convert.

The Glengarry Gaels took advantage of their mid-week play, scoring a pair of victories, as the tykes improved to 2-0 on the season with a victory Wednesday night, and the bantams kicked off their season with a rainy, shut-out win Thursday.
The tyke Gaels prevailed 30-18, led by Nacky Sharek (3 touchdowns). Elliott Keenan and Ben Jackman had the other Glengarry majors in the May 24 contest over Cornwall #2.
A night later, in wet, muddy conditions, Austin Main had the game's only TD, as the Gaels prevailed 8-0. The team added a third-quarter safety to round out the scoring, in the victory over the Cornwall Wildcats.
League play is scheduled to continue on Sunday, with games in Alexandria and Cornwall.
The senior boys soccer team from Char-Lan DHS is the 2017 SDGAA playoff champion, having yesterday beaten rival GDHS.
The Glengarry News was there covering the May 17 action and will have all the details in our next edition. A photo gallery will be posted on our website in the coming days.
Regardless of the result, both the Gaels and Crusaders will advance to EOSSAA, which is set for May 24, also in Alexandria.
