Green Valley native Remi Elie, who is playing this season for the Buffalo Sabres, recently marked his 100th career NHL game. Originally drafted by the Dallas Stars in 2013, he skated in 90 games with the Stars over the last two seasons, before being picked up by the Sabres this year. A nagging knee injury has limited his playing time to 10 games so far in 2018-19.
Remi Elie is on the move, having been picked off waivers by the NHL Buffalo Sabres, yesterday. The Green Valley resident was drafted by the Dallas Stars and had been with the organization for the last three seasons, split between the AHL-affiliate Texas Stars and the big club.
Following the surprise development, Elie bid adieu to his teammates. We will have more coverage in The News next week.
