Alumni draft sets rosters for Royals/Colts game

The teams are set for the 2018 Cornwall Royals/Colts alumni hockey game, on Saturday morning.

The General managers were Brent Loney and Gilles Crepeau. The draft was held at Shoeless Joe’s Cornwall, with Team Loney drawing the first overall selection and picking former Colts star Jesse Winchester.  

Team Crepeau built his roster after selecting another Colts alumnus, Brock McBride.

Admission is free. Doors to the civic complex open at 10:30 a.m., with the game slated for an 11:30 a.m. start.

Alumni of Colts, Royals invited to play in upcoming charity hockey game

Alumni from the Cornwall Royals and Cornwall Colts will suit up for a charity game on Saturday, March 17, in the Seaway City. The contest is scheduled to coincide with the nationally televised Hometown Hockey, which Cornwall is hosting that weekend.

Alumni from all generations of Royals and Colts are being invited to participate, as players and coaches.

The game, in support of the Ghost Walk For Charity will begin at 11:30 a.m. and lead into the kickoff for the community events portion of the Hometown Hockey telecast, from the Cornwall Civic Complex.

This is only the second such game (the first one opened the 2015 Fred Page Cup).
