CCHL Cornwall Colts add to their stable with bantam protects

The CCHL bantam protect draft was held Monday night, where the Cornwall junior 'A' Colts bolstered their stable for the future.

The Colts used their first-round selection on Cornwall-born centre Josh Barnes, who had 15 goals in 13 games last season with the Eastern Ontario Wild. The next selection was the first-ever second-generation Colts draft pick, Eastern Ontario Wild player Rylan Iwachniuk (from Long Sault). Iwachniuk’s father is former Colts standout defenceman Steve (1994-1998). 

4th Round – Brendan Watson – D – 6’2 – 175 – L – Bainsville – Eastern Ontario Wild
5th Round – John Richer – D – 6’3 – 165 – L – Apple Hill – Eastern Ontario Wild
6th Round – Jack Ingram – D – L – Seaway Valley AA
7th Round – Shane Gaudreau – D – R – Seaway Valley AA
8th Round – Andrew Dixon – C – Seaway Valley AA
9th Round – Ben Pineault – LW – Seaway Valley AA
10th Round – Nathaniel Faubert – RW – Seaway Valley AA
11th Round – Alexander Oakes – D – Seaway Valley AA
