The CCHL (junior 'A') hockey season could come to an end tonight in Hawkesbury for the Cornwall Colts, as the Hawks hold a 3-1 lead in games, in the opening-round playoff series.

Last night, in Cornwall, the Hawks grabbed a commanding lead in the series, with a 3-1 victory in game four.

All four goals were scored in the third period, with J.D. Pogue notching the lone Colts marker. That goal tied the game 1-1, but Hawkesbury reclaimed the lead the for good only 49 seconds later, before sealing the victory with an empty-net goal in the final minute of play.

Hawks tallies came from Kari Belac (2) and Alex Beaudin-Tougas.

The county's Ethan Mulhearn picked up an assist on the Cornwall goal.

Game five is slated for a 7:30 p.m. start at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex, in Hawkesbury.

If Cornwall wins to extend the series, the sixth match will go at the civic complex on Sunday evening, starting at 7 p.m.
