Do you have a story idea, results, or other sports-related information that may be of interest to Glengarrians? Do you know a Glengarry native who is making a name for him or herself further afield? Then contact the sports editor.

The content below is updated periodically with supplementary sports items that do not make it into the print edition of The Glengarry News or provide updates and/or additional information to a story we have published in the newspaper.
North Glengarry's adult flag football league concluded regular-season play last Sunday. We have a photo gallery from one of the games here, and our April 10 edition includes more details.
Four senior boys high school soccer teams competed at an indoor tournament in Alexandria last week. We have details in this week's edition of The News. A photo gallery from the match between Glengarry and Holy Trinity can be viewed here.
The 2019 edition of the Raisin River Canoe Race is just a week away, scheduled for Sunday, April 14, running the traditional course from St. Andrew's West downstream to Williamstown, a distance of just over 30 kilometres.
Online registration, at a reduced rate, is available until April 11. To register or for more information, please see the Raisin Region Conservation Authority canoe race web page here.
A special exhibition senior 'A' hockey game will be played this evening in Cornwall, as the Cornwall Prowlers host the Montreal-based Cedars.
Who are the Cedars, you ask? It's a newly formed group of hockey players playing under the banner of the Lebanese Ice Hockey Federation.
Game time at Cornwall's multi-sport complex is set for 7:20 p.m., and at least two Glengarrians (Jesse Fontaine and Pierre Luc Sabourin) are expected to be included on the Cornwall roster.
Our latest additions to our online image galleries include the following:
- GSL women's indoor soccer (game 2 of finals)
- UCMHL major midget Char-Lan Rebels game five playoff hockey
- indoor GSL men's soccer final series game two
- the Glengarry Cup (curling)
- hockey game featuring the OPP versus Glengarry DHS
Game two of the senior men's GSL soccer finals goes tonight at the dome in Alexandria, starting at 7:30 p.m. As we reported in The Glengarry News, the Bar Flies prevailed in the series opener last week and can clinch the title this evening. McCrimmon, with a win, will force a third and deciding match.
Two boys from the county will skate with their respective QMJHL clubs in first-round playoff hockey action tonight.
Roddie Sandiland and his Cape Breton Screaming Eagles are facing the Charlottetown Islanders, looking to even the series that they currently trail 2 games to 1.
The Gatineau Olympiques and Kieran Craig are taking on the Drummondville Voltigeurs, and it's do-or-die for them tonight, as they trail 3-0.
A slew of new image galleries have been added to our website and can be viewed online here.
