After three seasons with the Cornwall Colts, Jérémy Quesnel, of Alexandria, will join The Flock after being traded to the Hawkesbury Hawks of CCHL in exchange for Jeremy Côté, Bradley Shaw and the rights to Jakob Robillard.
Quesnel said on Twitter that he will miss the fans in the Seaway city. “That said, I’m very excited to get things started with the Flock.”
The Holy Trinity Falcons senior girls 'AA' soccer team completed the round-robin portion of last week's EOSSAA tournament with 2 wins, finishing first in their pool. The Falcons defeated Embrun and Thousand Islands, both by a score of 1-0. The goal scorers were Morgan Zappia in game one and Kelly Brissard in game two, while Madison Ruffo earned both shutouts.
HT moved on to play Arnprior in the semifinal and once again was victorious, and punched a ticket to the EOSSAA final with a 1-0 victory. Lily Bacchiochi notched the goal, while Ruffo picked up her third shutout.
The final was a rematch of game one where the Falcons faced Embrun for the EOSSAA championship. The Falcons had to settle for silver, though, as their storybook season came to an end with a 3-1 loss.

A new senior 'A' hockey league aims to ice teams across Ontario.
Led by the Cornwall Prowlers, who played last season in the LHSAO, the Eastern Ontario Senior A Hockey League has been formed, with plans to begin play this fall.
In addition to a team in Cornwall, squads are expected to be iced in Maxville (the Maniacs), Kinburn, Kingston, and Kanata. There's also interest in Vankleek Hill and Eganville.
Organizers are aiming for a six to eight-team league for the inaugural season. A league meeting is scheduled for June 23, with a player showcase booked for August 10.

Last Sunday saw the Glengarry Gaels tyke football team improve to 3-0 in the season, with a narrow 45-43 win over a team from Cornwall. Connor Hamelin accounted for the entirety of Glengarry's scoring.
The bantam Gaels were humbled 33-0 by the Wildcats, dropping Glengarry's record to 1-1-1.
Meanwhile, the mosquitoes won, going to 3-0 in the spring campaign. For details, check out the May 29 issue of The Glengarry News. A photo gallery is available here.
Depsite finishing as SD&G playoff runners-up, the GDHS Gaels junior boys soccer team will compete at EOSSAA, on Wednesday in Kemptville, as the fifth seed.
Last week, the Gaels lost their league championship match to la Citadelle, which is the second seed at EOSSAA. Also competing there will be VCI, the PRSSAA champion, ranked fourth.
Glengarry's game schedule is as follows
- 9:10 a.m. versus St. Joseph's - Renfrew
- 11:30 a.m. against VCI
Should they finish first in their pool, they will qualify for the EOSSAA championship game, slated for a 4:10 p.m. start.
All matches will be two 30-minute halves.
